Not anymore.
For about the past 3 or 4 years too much of the worlds infrastructure relies on the internet. This is why governments are so worried about cyber warfare.
The sheer volume of services now being transferred to online only makes it very difficult for those who are not connected to live normal lives.
It is still possible today to not be connected, but your life would be severely restricted.

technically, we can live without anything but basic necessities...
technically. but since people start relying on the internet for everything, they might not be able to do everyday things without it
