Tumblr Url Help Please? - Mee - 04-08-2014 07:28 PM
i want to use a url on tumblr but it says it's already been taken. I typed it in but the page is empty and looks like this https://31.media.tumblr.com/1b20c543340a46652425b9e1e38cebb1/tumblr_inline_mzmdohEDEt1rip0zp.png. There are no posts, never have been and no way to contact the owner. It doesn't look like a saved url page so is this just a deactivated user page and if it is, is there a way to contact tumblr and ask them to delete it? please help i really want this url if if it is possible to get it.

Unfortunately if a tumblr URL is taken despite no activity the URL can't be used again unless the owner deactivates it. The URL might be saved for further use by another user or just an account someone gave up on. This has been a major complaint throughout tumblr because some of the best URLs are no longer used and people want to free up some URL so you aren't stuck with some stupid random name. Hopefully they'll fix this sometime, though people are hacked and there have been issue with some blogs being randomly deleted I doubt you'll be able to use the URL.

you'll have to contact tumblr support.
