If your business is local I would recommend not going after free global marketing. Stay with your demographics and target those who might actually use your service and who are in your market area. Some people search on Facebook and build a page for their business.. which is free but you do have to get the word out about your page an alternative is to build an app people can download for free in the app store or Google play. I have built several and they work well since they come up in search results in Google play/app store and this gives you exposure and exposure is the main thing you need...remember, if they don't know your there how can you help anyone...

facebook ads, classifieds like craiglist, other free local classifieds
