Why are people nicer to those who are well off in life than those who aren't? - Garfield the Cat - 04-08-2014 07:31 PM

seems like wherever you go people seem to treat those who are well off in life with a lot more love, compassion and respect than those who aren't such as out in public or on Facebook and I personally think it sucks.

Because society (particularly American society with the whole idea of the "American Dream&quotWink promotes this idea that the harder you work, the more you'll be rewarded. Sure, it may be true in some cases, but for the most part I notice many people in fortunate situations have hardly worked a day in their life, and people in more desperate situations are often the most selfless and hard-working people out there.

Therefore, people see wealthy individuals as having good strong characters worth respecting, and less fortunate individuals as lazy and undeserving. Couldnt be further from the truth.

because most people are self centered and complete materialistic idiots.
