You must write the full specification of your laptop to get an answer. generally, you may have virus problem. You need to scan you C: drive with your anti virus program. Write to me at: beebolt@gmail.com. Give full specification of your Laptop, such as CPU, Ram, hard disk and your Windows. I will be able to help you. If you want to know the specification of your laptop just click on start and type in the search box DXDIAG and press on enter then you can read your specification. Good luck.

Your computer may just be getting a little bit old.

But some common things to try first:
1. Do a disk cleanup (type this into the search bar on the start menu). This will get rid of any junk hanging around your hard disk. It won't delete any important files, just random scraps left over from other stuff.

2. Do a disk defrag. Windows has this built in. Again, search defrag in the start menu and let the computer do its thing. Hit analyse and defrag.

3. Run a virus scan. There are many free programs out there, I recommend Avast! antivirus. It's free and darn good.

After that, if it's still slow, there may be something further wrong with your computer. I'm by no means an expert. I've just had my laptop for about 5 years, and when it gets slow I do those three. After 3 years, it was getting ridiculous, so i backed up my pictures and documents, made sure i had all the product codes for my software, and reinstalled the system from the disks that came with the laptop. Cleaned up everything and things were smooth again!

if your system is really freezing only when you are using internet then please remove your browser and re-install standard version browser(say example chrome). do not use beta version because they are under testing they may contains some bugs(errors).

i recommend you to increase RAM capacity if your system is outdated.

-Thank you

Hi Esmail,

I am Kaveri from the Dell Social Media Outreach team.

To isolate the issue between hardware & software, run hardware diagnostics. If all tests are passed, it confirms that the issue is not with hardware on the computer.

- Press the power button to turn on the system
- Press F12 repeatedly or Fn+power until you see boot menu
- Select diagnostic

and wait for the test to complete . In case you get any error please make a note of it. Otherwise it is a software issue.

Kindly follow the link below to troubleshoot this issue.
