My brother often downloads movies from internet using IDM (Internet Download Manager). He drains all my torrent speeds because we share the same Wi-Fi connection. His download manager gets all the speed, leaving my torrents helpless. For example, when he gets 500KB/s, I am left with 20-30KB/s on my uTorrent. Otherwise my speeds go upto 500-600KB/s. My torrents are healthy and seeds are also enough. What can I do? He won't listen to me!

Sounds like he's prioritised his connection, access your wifi router, and place a limit on his devices download speed, you can set it so you both get half, or, you can set it so you get it all, and then set up a password.

Use a router with bandwith controls Then you can make sure that you have better sharing of the total bandwidth.
