If you are interested in coding then you must go with PHP otherwise seo is best profession.

Hey if you are good in PHP and doing well in this field then don't change this field because as compare to seo, development field have good and fast growth. SEO is also good field but it has slow growth as compare to development.

You can go for PHP, and no need to leave SEO, as a web-designer or developer including SEO will be good for your future.
