I need a public relations company that is inexpensive and can produce widely-disseminated well-written articles regarding my company. Any ideas? PRweb are big but are they worth it?

It depends on your article and how big of impact you see your news story. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how good of a PR firm you have, if you have a not-so-interesting story, it won't get picked up.
I've found that a lot of people actually do their own research collating lists of journalists. Journalists are all very approachable people and love hearing about new stories (that are interesting).
PRweb is only $200 and your article will get syndicated, but you may not get new articles written.
A PR firm will probably cost you a few thousand.

There are many PR Company in which i will recommend PRLOG because their PR submission cost is less and they syndicate Press Release to many website.
