I logged into my ex's facebook. will i get caught? - Derrek - 04-08-2014 07:48 PM

i logged into her facebook and snooped around.. she found out someone went through it but doesnt know its me. Can my IP be traced through the facebook login on my laptop?
And would the cops get involved?

Not usually, but next time don't do that! Facebook lets the user know when someone logs on or doesn't log on.

you wouldn't get caught. unless you tell that person.

Not unless your girl friend is good with technology. A Facebook administrator would be able to pin point something like that but would never waist there time doing so. Your IP address is different from your global IP address.

Considering you logged in, Facebook allowed it. So they will not send her an e-mail about an "unidentified location trying to access here account."

85% sure she didn't get notified. However, if she did, you IP is given. Don't worry, low chances.
