I see that Facebook paid part of the 19 billion with Facebook shares. I am confused as to whose shares did Facebook use to acquire Whatsapp? Did Mark Zuckerberg use his own shares to buy Whatsapp? Say if I am a shareholder of Facebook, does it have any affect on me?

They used reserve shares so that now your ownership in Facebook has been diluted.
