people on facebook are more in control of their accounts, so unless they have advertising enabled no one will see the advertisement.... this is why facebook is better

Sure, it's not a business, but I use my Facebook account to advertise my downtown revitalization plans. It's the theme of my profile and I post about it a lot on messageboards.
