Need help with Facebook location services [ android ].? - calmwater378 - 10-15-2012 08:39 PM

I have a Android HTC Fender for T-Mobile, I downloaded Facebook from the APP Market, and now I'm trying to figure out how to enable location services. It gives the "Nearby" option, but I see that when my friends update thier statuses it gives thier locations and i cannot seem to figure out how to do that on mine. My son has an iPhone 4 and his does it automatically as well, he just updates his status and it shows his location automically. Could someone please help me figure this out.

is GPS function, on the phone itself, turned on?

Settings->Security & Location -> Enable GPS Satellites

awesome phone, by the way.

I know I am not answering your question but it is actually advisable for it not to show your location of EXACTLY where you're at. Think about how many people could easily find you if they wanted. It is a possible danger that you could be putting yourself in. However, if you still want to turn it on then it's probably under the "settings" in your phone.
