How to install a Search Engine? - Marian - 04-08-2014 07:52 PM

Conduit.com deleted all of my Search Engines. How to I install them again? I had choices of: Firefox; Google; Bing; and AVG Security Search. I want to re-instal all of these. I have Windows XP Pro, and use Firefox. Easy info., please. Not tech. savvy.

You can install it by your hands and not by your feet.

Search engines are just websites associated with a company. If you're asking for Search bars that are attached to your web browser, you can just visit the parent site of each of the companies ( http://www.bing.com) Firefox is the browser you'll use to get these bars, and the search bar on the Firefox browser is determined by what you've chosen in the settings as your default search engine in the Firefox browser. But you can also go to each individual website and use their search engine without having to mess with all the downloading... extra add-on's to your browser can lead to slower loading times, which causes frustration. I suggest bookmarking each website and opening a new tab or window when you want to use a specific websites search engine. Good Luck Smile
