Using other site logos for your blog and posts? - FatLossMan - 04-08-2014 07:53 PM

Just wondering how bloggers use logos from other blogs for their "as seen from" section. Also, I'm posting an article related to Adsense and Amazon. Can I use their logo in my post without their permission? Thanks!

Well, though you can use the copied logo but it somehow disrupt your credibility, so it would be better to stay away from such things.

You can use a logo like Amazon and Google when they are specifically what you are promoting and writing about. You couldn't use them deceptively, of course. Don't claim to have an affiliation with Amazon, for example, if you don't. Having their logo on your site to boost your credibility but doing so deceptively will hurt you in the long run.

If you are otherwise actually promoting them by referring to them, writing up about them or promoting them directly, they would be thankful you use their logo and promote their brand for them.

You would only want someone to use your logo if it was legitimate and helping you. Certainly not in a bad way. Let your guide for logo use be how you would want others to use your own logo.

There may be some other legalities involved in more complex cases and you should do your due diligence to research that when needed, but generally I think my previous advise should be ok.
