Search Engine Optimization and Paid Ads or PPC are totally different things and the both have different aspects. So , SEO does not affect PPC and Vice Versa.

No. Google us quite clear that using AdWords will not improve your search rankings.
That said, you'll probably need to use AdWords & SEO when starting out. The AdWords will drive some traffic while your SEO campaign will take time to work.
