You need to first put more time in getting traffic to your website, in my opinion Adsense is the best PPC, but if your blog is niche specific, then you can add a few affiliate links.
Here are a few tips on how to increase your traffic.
1. Blog commenting
2. Guest posting.
3. Writing unique content constantly.
4. submitting your blog post to G+, Twitter and Facebook.
Give your readers what they need and they will come back again and again.
