Bitcoin, Litecoin, Feathercoin, Peercoin and so on? - Doraemon - 04-08-2014 07:56 PM

Yes, the bitcoin is an amazing concept, and it does have its advantages but,

If the alternatives keep on coming out,

such as litecoin, feathercoin or dogecoin or peercoin,

Are we going to see the value of all types of digital coins decrease? Because the "supply" of the "supply and demand" increases? When bitcoin was first invented, the creator made an arrangement so only 21 million bitcoins can be produced, in order to prevent the "supply" from increasing forever. But all we have to do is create another type of a digital currency with the same concept as the bitcoin... such as litecoin or feathercoin.

Or am I missing something? Are there any reasons that the value of those virtual currency will keep on increasing? Even if different types of virtual currencies keep on coming out?

Thanks a lot, Yahoo Answers!!!

How much Watts would a litecoin mining rig with 4 AMD GPU's( probably Sapphire Radeon R9 280X) draw out ? would it be safe to put in my room alongside my gaming rig that is on 24/7 and a small server running across the room.

Price increases with demand. China's refusal of the bit coin acceptance as a currency rocked the market however the US has been shockingly somewhat open to it. Not saying they accept it, but they are not totally opposed.

It's take one giant retailler to accept the coin such as amazon, ebay or best buy and you will see the value of that particular coin go through the roof. So in theory, if bit coin has some good sales people and one of them lands a massive retailer others will jump on the band wagon and that specific coin will do extremely well.

My eyes are set on litecoin right now. It takes much less time for a payment to be approved about 1/3 the time a bit coin takes. The guy behind litecoin is also an ex google engineer giving him access to allot of talent and contacts. But my predictions are just as good as yours or anyone else's right now.

I wouldn't invest a tonne of money in any currency, but if you can mine, than why not!
