I really like the sound of this phone, but it's REALLY important that I'm able to download these apps.. has someone with this phone downloaded these apps? Thanks! :-)

Also I've seen there is a S5830 and a S5830i .. what's the difference?
I was going to get the S5830i - is this the newest.. etc?

From what I have read on the Google Play website you need Android 2.2 or above to run the Instagram App. From what I have read on official Samsung website the Samsungm Galaxy Ace
has Android 2.3.4. This model of Samsung phone will run the Instagram app.

yes , you can find them on google play store . just search on the market and download it , u r done
