You can make money directly through HubPages, by writing really good articles that get featured on HubPages, and hence get a good amount of traffic. Once people are on your Hub reading, there are ads that are displayed throughout the page. Like AdSense, when someone clicks on any of these ads, HubPages gets a certain amount, and you will get a certain amount. So the profit is split between you and HubPages. Im not sure what the split is, whether it's 50/50 or what.
