I was just wondering if you got paid for advertising something on facebook.
Such as a group or something.

You would need to first contact the company or entity you're planning on advertising. No one will pay you after you have already set up a page for free, but you may be able to work out a deal if you get in touch with the party first.
However, chances are low that most entities would agree to pay you unless you are able to effectively advertise them in a way which they can't easily do themselves. Because facebook is a free site where anyone can easily create groups and pages, this may be difficult. If you still wish to pursue the idea, try putting your own unique spin on the idea, convincing the party you'll be advertising that you will be able to bring in new business that they couldn't have gotten by themselves.
