Is it worth buying this domain? - NERD - 04-08-2014 08:20 PM

I'm starting an App developing company.. I was looking a perfect name and finally found a name "FinishApps.com" . Since it's already registered by someone else and they have put the domain for sale on Afternic..

So Is it worth buying it.?

Or Do I need to look for an alternative name.

It's up to you and your company if you think it's perfect.

If anybody here thinks it's worth buying, you just told them it's available so they can buy it themselves, then perhaps sell it to you at a markup.

No, it is rarely worth buying an existing domain name.

No, it isn't worth it. To build your brand name and presence, you need to build up your own SEO and visibility. Buying an existing domain would mean you have to work twice as hard to get that job done since it already existed.

It sounds like wither apps for Finland or weird grammar.

PolishedApps would have more of a positive tone.

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, domainsBot.com some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.

If you find an available .com name, there's a high probability that it' not a trademarked name.

Unless you have a lot of money to spend, you should instead go for alternative domain names. As a start up company, it is important to conserve your cash. You can consider the following .com names which are still available:
1. budapps
2. exciteapps
3. magiapps
4. prosapps
5. papaapps
6. yogiapps,

All the best.
