Unfair mobile phone registration on sites like youtube? - Skull Kid - 04-08-2014 08:20 PM

So I am highly irate at the fact that you need personal information to sign up to the website I'm about to delete my accounts I have on it because of it. Do you think it's annoying though that youtube is forcing you to use a mobile just to sign up to the website? What if people don't wanna give out there freaking phone number or use someone elses phone they don't know about? Is anyone else fed up about this? I mean think of this what if someone can easily hack into your account and steal personal information? I hope youtube gets called out for this or any other site using this idea it's unfair for anyone else who wants to sign up to there sites plus didn't we discuss that this is unsafe before?

They know with the technology evolving, people have cell phones. They are just doing this for security reasons. Yes, someone can hack your account and find out your number but they can't do much with it.

I've had my phone on my account for around a year, and I haven't received one text from YouTube yet. So you don't have to worry about them spamming you with stupid notifications.
