What is your small business?
Marketing a small business can be done in a variety of ways. A generic site such as LinkedIn is great for creating a business page because you can list your goods and services for free as well as post updates.
For music related businesses, notemote does a great job because you can sell goods directly from your profile page or just the store.
Like anything else, it takes a bit of work such as defining your customer and tailoring the message to reach that customer. This can be in the form of articles that are educational in your industry.

It depends on what you trying to do and what type of small business you are marketing. But, the sure bets are the social media sites, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and such. Just make sure you are not pitching (selling) too much. Tell a story through these outlets. Let your potential customers fell like they know you and trust you through your story telling. This will be a far better, organic approach to earning a potential lifetime customer. Good Luck!
