hi i have windows 7 internet explorer 9 and the other day ie stopped working out of nowhere. i think i was because i accidentally downloaded malware but i used my antivirus and deleted all the viruses and ie still doesnt work. it just opens on the bottom bar for like 2 seconds and disapeers then pops up like a minute later and is not responding so i have to close it with task manager. ANY SOLUTIONS
Oh ya and skype is not working cause it relys on ie so is there any way to change what browser it relys on?

try running the IE fixit tool

if that does not work run the reset tool
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737
Expand first button and click on "here" that will download reset tool then run it on your computer.

follow the following steps.
1.] Start>Search>Internet Options > Enter> Go to ADVANCE tab> Hit RESET at the bottom.and check the checkbox for delete personal settings and hit reset again...
2.] Download and run the malware removal from following website
