Couse you want them to like your photos. To seem like an much more fun person i guess. Don´t ever try to understand social media

Few possible reasons:
1. People may actually like your photos, so they "like" your photos on instagram.
2. They want to seek followers, such as you.
3. They are trying to promote their account and reach a bigger audience.
4. Some people may be advertising.
