Would a construction business or a lawn care business be most profitable? - Meg - 04-08-2014 08:36 PM

Both commercial, doing construction for banks, theme parks, etc or lawn care for commercial places and homes. (Which would be more profitable in the end and which is easier to start up?) I am going to start research but I would like your opinion on this.

I know two people who made a fortune with both. Honestly I think that I would rather have a lawn care business, only because with construction, I do not want to work in construction. I want others to work for me, in lawn care, I wouldn't care, I would work on the lawns. Please give me advice, I'm 18, so I have time to think about what I want to do.

it is all about location, if you sell your services (lawn) in an area where there are lots of lawns, you may have to cut your price to get people to switch services.
If you put your construction business in a high density area where there is no building, you may not have much interest expressed
So, to be sincere, you need to evaluate the whole concept (location, competition, values, pricing)
I would start with the lawn business, as there is very low investment
