Selling stuff through facebook .? - faintmask236 - 04-08-2014 08:37 PM

Sorry to keep posting on here but no one seems to be ancering my question !

I recently brought a load of belly bar jewlery of eBay (brand new) and have been selling them to friends and have made a great profit .

Now ,annoyingly I have to the urge to take it to another level . My plan was to buy alot of Joblot jewlery of eBay and sell it on to my friends using a Facebook group to advertise it then they could just come an collect what they want ore I would deliver it ...

Problem is , is this illegal ?! If it isn't please could you state why and if it is please state why .

As much Information as you can give me would be great .
Thanks guys !

I'm not sure about a Facebook group, but my niece just posts a profile and a photo of what she wants to sell on her wall.

First, Facebook is not a trading ite, they can terminate your account for this. Second, the moment you do this you would need to register your transactions for tax. You are turning it into a business. and fairly publicly if you use ANY Internet publicity for it.

If you just make a status and ask your friends if they want to buy them then it shouldn't be a problem.
I don't think it works the same for groups. Smile

The best thing to do would be to create a Facebook Page (tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n6Nb5uJNDI) specifically for your product, and get people to 'Like' it. Use it as a base to push people to your eBay account, where they can buy.
