Should I go with .com only or use local TLD's also? - David - 04-08-2014 08:37 PM

My dilemma is that I am making a website that is targeting all countries around the world equally so I can not make up my mind where the host's location should be.

I was thinking of registering at least 3 different domains: .com / .co.uk and maybe .com.au and getting local hosting for each?

However I am then paying for 3 hosting subscriptions... but it might be worth it if it means ranking higher in the local SERPS and faster page loading time?

Would really appreciate some advice, thanks.

Your are going to be able get better search ranking by consolidating all of your English language sites in a .com, You could be facing nearly 3 times the work if you made each site unique to avoid ranking reduction for duplicate content.

One better server probably beats 3 low budget distributed servers. A site can be run from cloud hosting with mirrors in different locations in the world, there is a Wordpress blog cache plugin that shifts assets to an Amazon account.

firstly decide how big is your enterprise or sell different things such as fire components is main site it may have local tld domain and the remaining .com domain. Make sure that when registering your domain the name of characters in the website name should be easy to remember.

secondly if you run differernt url then it must have unique contents and images should be different than previous one.
