Does streaming from internet now cost? - delightfulMagician392 - 04-08-2014 08:40 PM

I use to watch shows on the websites NBC, ABC, CBS, along with other channels. Now when I try to watch these shows I get a request for my cable provider and most give my login info for my cable provider. Are these shows still free to watch or will there now be a fee on my cable bill?

You must be purchasing cable tv to be able to watch it. They want your login info to verify that you are actually paying for tv. Otherwise people who don't pay for tv could get it for free by just watching the websites. You're not paying extra for it, unless it's a service like xfinity's streampix, that you know you're paying extra for. But CBS, NBC, TNT, AMC, those are all just verifications and free to watch if you have a cable tv account.
