Hi i would like to get some help on this topic...the thing is i would like to make a webstore and dont know where to start from? But searching for hours i found OScommerce and Opencart..
Now i need to know what does these sites do. and how can i run a web store for my items??

Can anyone clear things up for me??or post some links that i can look to make a webstore..

osCommerce and Opencart are both php based open source shopping carts ideal for small and medium size e-shop. I would not go into too many technical details but to summarize Opencart is prefered over OScommerce
OScommerce is getting obsolete due to lack of support fromdeveloper community and availability of limited number of extensions.
