I don't know about Craigslist - that seems to appear mostly for jobs or things for sale.

YouTube seems to be losing ground since Google bought them but if it's something unusual that doesn't have much else come up about it, the videos will be picked up.
But you have to input them correctly.
I bought a book on Amazon called "SEO ORGANICS" about search engine stuff and it covers Youtube.

I would say Craigslist is better than YouTube because via Craigslist you can advertise about your jobs, housing, personals, for sale, items wanted, services, community, gigs, resumes, and discussion forums;that is worth than YouTube because YouTube is a platform where all things are uploaded and available,So i wud say go for Craigslist.

It would depend on what you are advertising. I can not think of anything that would be appropriate to advertise on both of those venues.

If you are advertising a short term thing, like a job or a garage sale, Craigslist makes sense.

If you are advertising a startup project or a product that you are mass-producing, YouTube would be more appropriate.
