Internet Help AT&T? I am getting ripped off? - Codey - 04-08-2014 08:49 PM

Hi, my incoming and outgoing speeds are not even close to being equal. I know Incoming is Download Speed and Outgoing is Upload Speed... However I have 3mb/s download speed wise... And it says when I am downloading something I only get about 300 kb/s which is terrible and not even close to what I should be getting... What do I need to do to fix this?!? A better router?? Mine is pretty old btw.. Please Ive been getting ripped off for a while now... (My other post was spammed) please help me!

If you are dealing with ATT you are.

Your upload and download rates will NEVER EVER be the same or even close to equal. You are getting exactly what you are paying for. Same applies for cable based broadband. I get around 35-38mbps for download and around 3-4mbps uploads. That's how it works bud. They advertise download speeds when they say you will get 3mbps. Listen carefully when they advertise their service. Their is never any mention about uploads speeds
