Can I sell branded pint glasses on facebook? - johnathan - 04-08-2014 08:50 PM

recently I obtained 24 Worthington pint glasses honestly from a pub i work at since they have stopped selling it, they are all in a box brand new and sealed.
the question is can i sell them? it has the worthingtons logo on it which i assume is copyrighted but if i posted the box as a picture on a facebook selling page and sold it for money will any bad come from it?
i dont want my ass handed to me because im selling a company's item

Not sure, I do not use facebook. I'd just put them on ebay and link the auction on facebook. Or tell people you personally know on facebook you are selling them and let them contact you and pay via cash, check, or paypal and then give them the pint glasses.

Whether FB allows you to sell things is a separate question, and many people would suggest eBay or Craigslist instead.

However, the question about copyright is pretty simple: it is not a copyright infringement to publish your own photo of a copyrighted design on a physical object you are offering for sale. 17 USC 113.

Your own circumstances may vary from what is meant in the law, and you may have omitted information that might change the answer for your circumstances.
