sometimes when i refresh a page a message pops up and says that firefox needs to 'resend' my information. what does that mean exactly?

Click yes. Firefox is requesting to know whether you want them to go back and capture the prior page.

It means to send the information again. If you purchased something, refreshing the page could place another order.
