Just bought a domain name on ebay, seller's requesting godaddy account # and email, is this normal? - Willamette - 04-08-2014 08:54 PM

For transfer? This is my first time buying a domain name from someone, thanks!

Double check the Godaddy documentation on it, but that sounds about right, just don't be giving out any passwords.

Godaddy makes it tougher to transfer to a different registrar (impossible if the name is under 60 days old), so transferring to another Godaddy account is the smoothest way to handle it.

Yes of course. If you bought a domain name from a person who already owned that domain, then your Godaddy Account number or Email address (used on your Godaddy) is required, to push that domain to your Godaddy account.
This is normal procedure. But yeah, as Jake said, don't share ANY passwords.
