Is it common to end up with so many internet tabs or to often spam "open in new window" all the time, not look? - Carlos - 04-08-2014 08:56 PM

I have a bad habit of going to google and pretty much clicking "open link in new tab", and I barely even look at all the new tabs that I open. Is this just me or does everyone do it? Cuz it takes 10 tabs to find what I want and I have absolutely no patience, if I don't find what I'm looking for I close the site fast and move to the next one.
right now I probably have 2 windows of chrome with 40 tabs each on them

Yep I have 3 windows and about 30 tabs open, for different purposes. Some of them are for 'finding what I want' like you said, and some are references that I use a lot. But -none- of them are -wasted- the way you seem to describe.

About where you said "...if I don't find what I'm looking for I close the site fast and move to the next one." You need to get in the habit of closing the *tab* and going back to the 'master' google tab before to go to the next site.

Having habits is about -thinking- about doing it doing it once, then twice, then three times, and eventually it happens without thinking. You'll end up with a lot less wasted tabs that you don't even remember, and just the good ones with the info you need.
