Do I need to update Internet Explorer? IE 11 installed automatically; I uninstalled & it went back to IE 9.? - Leslie J - 04-08-2014 08:58 PM

I've been using IE 11 for a couple weeks since it automatically updated, and didn't like it.
I went to Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates. Then I looked for Internet Explorer 11 in the list, right-clicked on it, and chose Uninstall.
Now it's back to how I like it, but I see that it's IE 9 instead of IE 10. I really don't know if I ever had IE 10, or if I might have uninstalled it, too. Could that IE 10 update have been skipped? Is there any reason why I shouldn't just stay with IE 9? I have Windows 7.

When you remove IE 11 it goes back to the version you had before. So you did not have 10.If you uninstall 10 also you can go to Old apps which has all the older version of IE

I would download IE 10. You'll get better website compatibility with IE 10. I think that there's better security with it, too, because Microsoft is putting more resources into IE 10 and 11.
My computer automatically updated to IE 11 from IE 10 and I didn't like it due to compatibility issues. I went back to IE 10 and everything's back to normal.
