Is facebook a good way to keep in contact with customers/clients? and is it a good way to advertise your business?

I wouldn't say it is by my friend's experience, but you can I guess. Only if when you're done with the client/customer you should really delete him, or block him. It's for safety reasons. For advertising, I guess it is. My friends do it all the time for school and stuff. BUT I wouldn't reccomend it. They would find out where you live, yada yada yada, ect!
