Ebay question..............? - realsync1 - 04-08-2014 09:14 PM

I sold an item on eBay and now the buyer wants the money back because it doesn't work. On my eBay store it says you have 7 days to return the item if its damage. The buyer had the item for a half month. Can i get in trouble with ebay. Can they still take the money and refund it back to the buyer. That person had the item for awhile and i dunno if that person broke it.

No that's way to long of time. Its there responsibility after those 7 days you made it clear and that's just way to long.

ebay buyer protection is for 60 days so yes if they open a case you have to deal with a return/refund

That is a fair assumption that the buyer could have broken it. No, if your policy says 7 day return for refund and he has had it two weeks, you dont have to refund the money. However, he will open a case against you for item not as described and Ebay always takes buyer's side in a dispute and you will probably be forced to refund the money but make sure item is shipped back to you first. Dont do anything unless buyer opens a claim. It wont hurt your Ebay standing.
