How effective is advertising on Face-book? - Chris J - 04-08-2014 09:18 PM

I've got as far as the point where it wants to take my credit card payment but before I committ I wanted some feedback from people who have already advertised on there.

Also, if anyone can tell me if it has worked well for them or not.

Specifically I am targeting 28+ age golfers in certain areas of the UK and have managed to filter it thus far.

Most importantly, how long are you committed for once you sign up?

if your target audience is 28-yr old golfers, you could advertise at TopGolf /other driving ranges, local newspapers, golf shops etc

Go for websites where you know you will get your target audience. Are you a golfer? are you 28+? if not, talk to potential target audience. Ask them what websites they surf? What forums they go onto relating to golf etc and then make your investment worth while to target potential customers.

Go to Google and type in various search phrases that you believe your targeted audience would use to find golf related products or services you offer. Those websites that appear in the top 3 results are the one's you should look at to advertise on.

Hope this helps,
Steve

I'm a really big fan of Facebook's advertising program. I used it to advertise to college students and the results really exceeded my expectations. And it's so affordable too. But is Facebook the best place to reach 28+ golfers? Over here (across the pond) Facebook is used primarily by high school or college students...a bit younger than the demographic you are looking for. If that's different in the UK, and 28+ people use Facebook just as frequently as as the younger age group, then go for it! When I advertised with Facebook there wasn't a time commitment...you just gave them a daily budget and you could cancel any time. Again, that may be different in the UK. Good luck in your venture.
