On Yahoo Home Page, links in horiz row midpage suddenly do not work. Have IE version 11 and Windows 7? - Pamela - 04-08-2014 09:18 PM

A couple of things have stopped on the Yahoo Home page and I don't know why. Not serious but irritating. I do not use My Yahoo; I use yahoo.com as my default home page, and the changes are on this page.

1) there was a row of photos that scrolled above the news representing the headlines. It would move periodically on its own, or you could move it to the next set of frames by pushing arrow key. Now, just one set of frames, with associated news, shows and when I click on the arrow keys, the existing frames disappear and blank space comes up. No frames with pictures and no news.

2) below this is a horizontal bar with links such as all news, local news, etc. The default is all news, and all news does show. If I want to switch to local news, and hit that link, all news disappears and nothing comes up. It is blank. This happens for all links on that bar. The bar at very top of home page does work when I click on the links.

3) When I scrolled to bottom of home page more news items would load. That does not happen any longer.
These are recent problems. I recently downloaded latest versions of Flash, which is working well displaying video, and Java. I wonder if this is contributing or there is another issue. All my s/w is up to date -- W 7, MS Office 360, and IE 11 plus Flash and Java. Any help appreciated.

I repeated your question because you spelled it out so well:

This answer is under the link above.
You can either click the gear, upper right, then click on compatibility view and add yahoo. Make sure and uncheck the use Microsoft list and the view intranet sites in compatibility view. Close out of everything and then try.
