Do ads actually work? - george - 04-08-2014 09:27 PM

I have never bought anything because of an ad. Ever.

I only clicked on them by mistake. I wouldn't in a zillion years buy anything from an ad or believe advertising. I would do my own research first.
Now, there are some very stupid people out there that believe anything they hear or read. Those are mass targeted. Easy prey. Usually young people or the very old. The same people that are easy to scam. The same people that believe anything their government tells them.

Ads work if they reach an audience that is in the market for a given product or service. If you are shopping for example for a new TV you might check internet ads for the best price on a given model and therefore find your best deal through that ad.

An ad with no specifics is useless.
