Random words in my browser have advertising links but can't find the source? - David - 04-08-2014 09:30 PM

So on certain websites such as tumblr I'm finding words that are double underlined in blue that are links to sites and services such as downloading internet explorer. I've triple checked my extensions and found nothing, check my programs list, found nothing, ran anti-malware and anti-virus but it still hasn't solved the problem. I have no idea where else to look.

I have a windows 7 computer using Chrome as my default browser.
Edit: It's even on my steam client!

Hey man had this issue a while back too, if you just go to control panel-> uninstall-> then find out when you started seeing it and then just try to find the date it was install (on the right hand side of the uninstall tab) find the most recent and click on it then uninstall.
P.s if this doesn't work look online for anti- spyware/malware apps to help with it.

Hope this helped! Good luck, it really is a pain to get rid of crap like this.
