You will find the absence of significant text content to be the biggest obstacle to being approved by Google's popular Adsense system, not your traffic figures. Because Adsense examines the page content text to determine what advertisements sill best match it, a gallery site will provide advertisers less well matched viewers.
There are plenty of 2nd tier ad systems with no min. traffic requirements, that you could qualify for.

Yes, some advertising companies might allow you, but still you won't be able to earn more than 5$ a month. Yes!

I agree with Jake, you can get adsense but for that you need to have good quality content.
