Creating a new eBay account due to suspension? - Ryan - 04-08-2014 09:40 PM

OK so here is the WHOLE story...I sold merchandise from an Unverified supplier...I didn't know what i was doing was wrong...the product is of very high quality and everything arrived to customers on time and in perfect shape...BUT...I sold 59 items (same item) in one day and made like $8,000...I thought OMG i just found my career...Directly after that I got an email saying my account was "Restricted" with no more selling or buying until they could figure out if my source was legitimate...It is not I already know this now....I am appealing their decision but will most likely lose the case...So my question is this...Once they tell me "No you are done you can't use eBay anymore" is it possible for me to create a new account and start from scratch and do it right this time....I mean obviously I can just use someone elses name "Like my mom or something" but I don't want to do that if I don't have to...Can I make a new account with my own info and just start all over again...Is that possible? You know wait the whole 90 days and do all that all over again...thanks...and please no lectures I understand now that I messed up...Thanks

Nah don't do it, because they IP trace new accounts every few days, next time they will delete anyone else who has used your computer too, friends or family. Just wait for 90 days then you might be able to make a new account without running into trouble. If you make a new account too soon you can end up banning yourself for life.

Edit: Actually, no, wait 90 days, then contact ebay saying you have learned from mistakes, etc, they will say you can have a new account if it's your first suspension, and especially if you offer them a letter saying that you promise not to violate the rules again, but really don't try to fool them with false names, they will know. Even if you use an IP proxy they will find out some other way, bank accounts and addresses linked to you, etc.

There are still other sites, make an Amazon account or Craigslist, but don't screw your chances up of getting back on ebay. After one suspension you will probably get back on eventually, but repeat suspensions will do you no good at all.
