How can I shorten my FB address, Facebook.com/'so&so' to just 'so&so' when I make posts on FB? - saji - 10-15-2012 08:53 PM

On FB posts only. When I ask somebody to Like my page, the full link, http://...appears; but I see when other people do this, only their name appears where the hyperlink is shortened.
Sorry, please don't give an href...solution. Facebook post interface doesn't take this HTML code! How can I explain further?! I need the shortened form on a Facebook post, not on any blog or website!!

<a href="http://www.the link.com">What you want it to say</a>

You can make the link say anything you want it to with this html hyperlink coding.

First of all, html codes doesn't work on Facebook posts. When you are writing a post mentioning the name, tag the name and it'll get hyperlink-ed. Usually when you mention a user name while typing a FB post, Facebook will show profiles with that name or similar name so that you can tag the name. Just write the user name while typing and Facebook should give you the option.
