A school work assignment? I see people who do term papers, etc.
There are micro task sites where you can get anonymous people to do common things, Amazon's Mechanical Turk mturk.com and microworkers.com are common. There are people on Fiverr.com offering to so all kinds of things for $5, usually a predefined task there may be some flexibility.
Freelance marketplaces are for hiring skilled workers to do more major projects, Elance.com and odesk.com being the best known.
