Why doesn't adblock work in yahoo answers? - tink - 04-08-2014 09:45 PM

Especially for all those highly invasive "fly across the screen" ads?

I just started using firefox, and while adblock worked great there, it sucks for mozilla....

Wondered if I was doing anything wrong?

Is it possible that those ads (I don't see 'em) are flash? I don't think AdBlock is effective on flash files.

Try one of the various flash-blocking add-ons; you have nothing to lose.

I use chrome, and I have an adblock and popupblocker.
Works fine, even on adfly

what you see is caused by flash cookies
anytime i see those ads i run spybot and it picks a flash cookie or 2
and that always fixes it
so here try spybot

I am using adblock plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/da/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/?src=ss and it works fine.
