I've been conned on a website HELP? - Crystal - 04-08-2014 09:46 PM I'm really scared! I typed in ' watch movies for free ' in google and I watched a few films ( the perfect man, insidious, hot chicks, and easy a) all appropriate then aload of ads came up such as 'poker' and some websites with girls on it I crossed them off straight away and then a message came up my whole laptop froze and then it said I've been doing porn! Then my webcam came on and I covered it with my hand! it said I've broke the law and I've got a fine to pay I shown my mum and she's getting someone to look at it tomorrow I'm really scared tho? Will I go to jail! Help I haven't even done anything wrong it said the films were free:/ I didn't give any personal deatails btw! Oh and it said my computers locked - Christopher - 04-08-2014 09:53 PM It's a scam - you haven't broken any laws, but they hope you will be frightened enough to pay them. You have also downloaded a virus, so you will have to take the computer to the experts to get the virus removed if you want to use it again. That should cost you about £20. - Doug - 04-08-2014 10:00 PM you're safe, you didn't do anything wrong. if you can, start your computer in safe mode (i think you hold down f8) and you should be able to run your anti-virus software for it to clean it up. send me a message if no one is able to fix it for you. |
