Accidental DoSing with LOIC? - Kevin - 04-09-2014 04:02 AM

So I was with my friend and he showed me LOIC and said I can DoS someone with it so I was doing it but I clicked Stop flooding and it did not register and then I went to my xBox and played a game of BLII
and when got back I checked it and it said 14000000 treads have been sent, BUT I was not connected to the internet on my computer so did the attack go through because I was stupid and I dont want to get in troble...

If the computer did not have internet when the attack started then nothing could be sent outside of the network, this won't stop the software from trying to send packets so it THINKS they were sent. It takes a large number of computers to successfully DoS/DDoS a target effectively (we're talking hundreds of computers). DoS/DDoS is HIGHLY illegal and any country who extradites would have NO issue sending you somewhere to be put on trial for this type of an attack.
